Strawberry Banana Smoothie Recipe

One of our favorite breakfast items is this delicious Strawberry Banana Smoothie Recipe! So easy and delicious! Even my kiddos (ages 7 and 5) absolutely LOVE IT! I would love to hear what you think of it!

Strawberry Banana Smoothie Recipe:

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup milk – we use almond milk, but you can use soy or low-fat milk

1banana, make sure it’s overly ripe

(12) about dozen frozen strawberries

1/2 teaspoonvanilla extract

1/2 cuprolled oats

1 teaspoon honey (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

1) First, In a blender or food processorblend the oats finely (if my kids see an oat they won’t eat it! So I make sure to blend them up really good!)

2) Then addmilk, banana and strawberries. Add vanilla and honey. Blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve.

TIP: If you have bananas that are going bad, peel off the skin and put banana in a zip lock bag and put in the freezer. They will be perfect for smoothies!

This makes 2 full glass servings. I make this for myself and my two kiddos and it’s plenty. Perfect for a quick, nutritious, need to get out the door breakfast!
