Wilderness at the Smokies for Summer Fun - The Wall is here!

Wilderness at the Smokies for Summer Fun – The Wall is here! My family and I had an amazing weekend getaway at a wonderful resort, The Wilderness At The Smokies!! We did everything from riding their new waterslide the “Wild Wall” to chillin poolside with a fruity drink while relaxing in the sun to having fun in the arcade, bowling and going on the ropes coarse!

When we first got there my husband and the kids kept begging me to go try their new “Wild Wall” water slide so we immediately got our bathing suits on and hit the outdoor waterpark and rode this amazingly exciting ride. We started off at the top of the 60 foot tower (my kiddos had to hold my hand I was a little nervous too) we anxiously got onto our 2 person raft and began the adventure. The slide was so fun, we got shot so fast onto the vertical wall, I felt like a circus clown in a cannon, and then feeling totally weightless we fell back down the wall and into a pool where I had to compose myself from all the adrenaline pumping through my veins. I screamed so loud I think everyone in the park stopped and covered their ears. It was awesome!!

After all this excitement Me and the gang decided to chill on the Lazy River. We had so much fun hanging out on our inner tubes, while my kids tried to bump me into the occasional water sprinkler that were strategically placed on the Lazy River. We laughed and had the best time.

Next me and my hubby decided to lounge on the lounge chairs in front of the wave pool. It was so nice for us to be able to hang out while watching the kids splash and have fun in the wave pool. It literally felt like we were at the beach but only better, we didn’t have to lug all of our chairs, and coolers, and set it all up, all of that was already done and the wonderful staff would stop by every once in a while to check if we needed anything.

It’s literally amazing all the activitites they have to offer here in addition to all the waterparks. My kids really enjoyed the Tree Top Tower, which is a three storied ropes course that kids of any age could enjoy, even my husband got up there with them. The kiddos also had a blast at the Howlin’ Hound Dog Alley, where they bowled like pros (well in their own mind anyways). They also have an amazing golf course with a fabulous driving range to get warmed up on, and they also have a Mega Arcade that kept the family entertained for hours. After it was all said and done, it felt like we had an amazing vacation all in one weekend.
