Here’s a Super Fun, Easy and Frugal Craft to make as a gift! These Personalized Coasters would be great for Hostess Gifts, Birthday Gifts, Baby or Wedding Showers + MORE!

Supplies Needed:

  • Tiles ($.16 each or less)
  • Mod Podge
  • Sealant
  • Photographs
  • Sponge brush
  • Scissors

Making the Coasters

Line your picture up against the tile. You can cover the entire tile if you have a bigger picture, but mine were 4×6 so I used the tile as a border. You could put a piece of scrapbook paper down first and then attach the picture on top if you do not like the plain border. Just have fun with it! Cut your picture down to size.

Brush mod podge across entire tile. Place your picture on top of the tile while mod podge is still wet. Press the picture flat, being careful not to move it.

If you are making a set, repeat these steps with each tile and picture. Then, cover your picture with mod podge.

When the second coat is dry, spray or paint over with your sealant. Let it dry. Repeat this process 2 more times. You will have a total of 2 coats of mod podge and 3 coats of sealant.

When your tiles are completely dry, pair them off into sets of 2 or 4 and tie them with a pretty ribbon. Add a note if you’d like. You can add a piece of felt to the bottom of them with hot glue if you want.

These coasters will make great party and wedding favors. You can use pictures of your kids if you are making them for yourself, or the kids could help and then give them to grandparents for Grandparent’s Day.  You an also  make them using scrapbook paper to match your baby shower theme and give them as a prize for one of the games, personalize them with names and give them to your friends, or have  kids make them for dad for Father’s Day.
